Practice Conversation Skills

A rehearsal space for conversations you would rather not improvise.

Rehearsal without an audience

Most difficult conversations fail on the opening sentence. Writing that sentence three different ways to a virtual character costs nothing and removes most of the fear.

On Touchie ai you can ask a character to answer as a sceptical listener, a friendly one, or a distracted one, and compare how your wording holds up.

Small talk is a skill

Small talk is pattern practice: notice something, comment on it, ask a question. A few short chats a week make the pattern automatic, and characters on Touchie ai will keep serving you openings.

Practising a second language

Write in the language you are learning and ask the character to reply in the same one. Mistakes are cheap here, and repeating a phrase four times in one evening is normal rather than embarrassing.

Mixing two languages mid-sentence works too, which is closer to how most bilingual conversation actually sounds.
